Yes, this is as crazy as it sounds. But it’s also such a rush and good for developing SPEEEEED with projects.  Below you’ll find the results of my most recent project (minus the POP and the Stickers I did)…

We were instructed to create our own line of “Vinyl/Urban/Fugitive Toys” Perhaps you don’t know about these things. You can read more about them here.

My concept is developed around Japanese Aikido…loosley. I call these critters Kototomas. They are spirits that live in the sound forest and they can only communicate with sound vibrations. That’s the gist.

Indeed yesterday was my 29th. The internet censorship campaign kicked off. That’s brilliant I say.  Also, this poem by Charles Wright is what I read yesterday morning. I think it made sense for my day of birth:

Yard Work

I think that someone will remember us in another time,
Sappho once said-more or less-
Her words caught
Between the tongue’s tip and the first edge of the invisible.

I hope so, myself now caught
Between the edge of the landscape and the absolute,
Which is the same place, and the same sound,
That she made.

Meanwhile, let’s stick to business.
Everything else does, the landscape, the absolute, the invisible.
My job is yard work-
I take this inchworm, for instance, and move it from here to there. 

After Brunch, a few of us wandered to the West Midtown train yards, with cans of spray  paint and tried to leave our mark. Here’s mine:
